10 pounds of @#$% in a 5 pound bag...
Well, I want more space but don't want to move... I can't expand my garage due to zoning and taxes so I did the next best thing.. I added a lift. It only took 6 hours to assemble and does exactly what I need.... Chuck I

Nice!
Looks like you can't open the garage all the way with the M on top?

Chuck I, Nice... The only reason I would like to move out of my condo is for more garage space. If I could fit one of these in I would add it in a heartbeat.

There are many out there that start around $1600 and go up... This one is rated at 7,000 lbs... It's more than enough for what I need... I also found that there are quite a few used ones out there.. Chuck I

No, as a matter of fact, with this one there are wheels that you attach and when you lower the car, it actually picks up the lift and you can roll it around (with the car on it). This lift weighs 1700 lbs. It's very stable. Chuck I

Chuck,
I am in your boat with expanding my garage....zoning is a real hassle. I have looked into several lifts... like Bendpak, but they are a bit pricey. What brand and model is your lift? It looks like it would work in my garage as I have 12 ft ceilings. |

we just put in a lift about two weeks ago. it was an easy install but the instructions were pointless. it looks like they were writen in chinese then translated in english, they made no sense at all. we barely even used them.

Dannmar
I just had a Dannmar 4 post lift installed. CostCo was selling them for $1699. I paid $400 for someone to install it and I'm glad I did.

Oh. Snap. I have a new hero on the internets.
I would so do this if it weren't for the fact that I'd have to cut a hole in my living room floor to accommodate. |
