bucket seats for e85 z4

Hey guys,
My driver seat has a rip so instead of reupholstering them or buying a new stock seat, I figured I can buy after market bucket seats for around the same price. Are there any recommendations of bucket seats that are easy to install?

Garage List
Subbed for answers as well. I just started searching this forum for lightweight after market seat options. Does anyone have any links?

Haven't pulled the trigger yet but will likely go with Braum and Brey-Krause sliders/mounts.

Tillet seats and cobra nogaro, both UK manufacturers fit our chassis perfectly. Both comfortable and easy on the eye too. No so easy on the wallet though!

I'm using Status GTX seats with VAC mounts and they fit pretty well.

Do you have some pictures of them? Does the shoulder wings rub on the door card?
Status side mounts on which slider to VAC floor mounts?

sorry for all these questions. Seat looks really good and customizable..

I got a Recaro SPG XL with Brey-Krause factory slider brackets that fit just right.

Very cool! These are the Brey-Krause brackets that work with the OEM electric seat sliders? If so do you get all the same seat movements as when the sliders are attached to the OEM seats?

This is the only picture I have at the moment. Both seats are mounted directly to the base plates. The back bolts are in the lowest slot of the side mounts and the fronts are in the highest slot. The shoulder wings barely touch the door card. I used VAC floor mounts, but the Status ones which are angled to match the slight angle of the seats would probably be better. I actually had to use the VAC side mounts opposite of what's intended (left to right and vice versa) in order to get the seats mounted inboard enough. Otherwise the shoulder wings rubbed on the door cards and the driver's seat wasn't centered behind the wheel. Hope this helps, but let me know if you'd like more detailed pictures.

Yes. They work only with the slider (back and forth function) and its electronically control via a switch button.
