That was the first cone to be ended by the z4, it then got stuck and dragged back to paddock.
I was hoping to get the spin on video so I could see it better from outside the car, but the battery died. Ive got to remember to bring my back up. 225 RE-11s on all 4 corners, as I get the pressures down they just keep getting better. Edit: added 2 better photos to the first post that I found on a local scca board. Last edited by Juice84; 07-12-2010 at 09:44 AM.. |

sooooooooo.... I had another event on sunday and I forgot the camera so no new photos/videos.
however i did get this while I was there. Grabbed 4th in the street tire class out of 20 some entrants. Until the last run I actually had a ASP Carerra beat when he ended up a .4xx seconds ahead on a 48 second course. I still got him in the PAX though (not as much fun ). I had a goal based on some of the other cars to hit 47 second lap and I got it down to 48.5 so I didnt quite make it. Anyways I got beat by a 200x Miata, a BSP EVO X, and a new Mustang (dont know if it was a GT or not wasnt paying attention). The class is based on PAX, the only car that RAW timed me and I beat in PAX was the Carrera. For the next event I need to get smoother with my inputs as I am upsetting the car. Still have not got 100% used to the electric throttle and its 'on' point. Just thought I'd share. |

Great job I won my class and got a trophy glass. It broke last year and I am still heartbroken. I guess that means I need to get out there and win again!

I run 30 in the front and 32 in the rear on RE11 square setup. When chalked this will normally rub it off to about the edge.
My front camber is set to -1.5 (maxed w/o drilling or shimms) and I dont remember what my rear is set too, and it has about lil bit of toe dialed into the rear (cant remember if it was in or out). I had the shop do what they thought was best (bunch of autox guys work there) when I had the tires put on cuz there was not a whole lot of info avaliable on suspension settings. But they seem to be working well enough for now. |

Yes, run again by all means. I need some company in my class. Were you in your Mcoupe? What group did you run with.

This was years ago in a Miata. I haven't Autox'd since 2004. I moved away from the DC area and all my old AutoX buddies to Florida. Was busy with school and didn't have the urge to AutoX my 325i. Moved to Dallas March 09 and picked up the MCoupe April 2010. I should make a return to it. I'll have to grab some info from you regarding the events.

Here you go, everything you need to know about local events.
http://www.dfwautocross.com/ BMW club has one in early August at TMS. That lot is dark blacktop so it will be hot out there. I am not sure if I am going to make that one. I will be in Colorado 2 times in August/Sept and may wait until I get back to run again, plus it will be cooler here. I have run with all the groups, including some of the time trials. Miata is the budget car to have, wish I had one laying around to set up just for AutoX. |
