Hi guys, I would like to introduce you to my supercharged Alpina Roadster S. Some of you will have read about it in this thread. I have now documented all modifications on the car and I have also released a video we shot in Norway afther picking up the car at ESS Tuning.
My car is a 2004 Alpina Roadster S which comes with improved aerodynamics, some nice interior refinements and a 300HP 3346cc inline six based on the S52B32 engine. I bought the car in April 2006, then started modding it three years ago. Soon thereafter things got out of hand and at some point my car looked like this: Fortunately we managed to put all the bits and pieces back together in summer 2008 and then I had this: Which was nice but still a bit down on power so contacted Asbjorn at ESS Tuning in Norway. I drove my car up there, took the flight back to Amsterdam and waited six weeks. The result was the world's first supercharged Alpina Roadster S, now sporting no less than 445 ponies. Back at home I finished it off with Tekarbon angel eyes and black painted headlight housings and an Ultimate Pedals brushed aluminum pedal set. The complete list of modifications: Drivetrain - ESS Tuning Twin Screw 2 supercharger system - Drexler limited slip differential - Reduced final drive ratio Bodywork & exterior - BMW aero kit side skirt - BMW aero kit carbon fibre rear diffuser - BMW Z4M bonnet - Facelift rear bumper, tail lights and headlights - Full body respray - Stubby antenna - Tekarbon angel eyes Suspension - Reiger Suspension 3-way adjustable shock absorbers - Turner Motorsport rear trailing arm bushing limiter kit - Turner Motorsport rear trailing arm ball joint - Powerflex front lower control arm bushing - E46 M-sport front control arm Chassis - StrongStrut strut tower bar - Turner Motorsport front subframe reinforcement kit Interior - BMW M-sports steering wheel - Ultimate Pedals brushed aluminum pedal set - Recaro Pole Position seats - Schroth ASM Autocontrol III safety harness - Interior door handle and rollbar LEDs - Sound dampening and squeak prevention Exhaust - Modified quad pipe Alpina exhaust Brakes - Mov'it 380mm 6-piston front brakes - Sandtler drilled rear brake discs and painted rear brake calipers In Car Entertainment - BMW iPod interface Wheels & tyres - Rear wheel spacers - Michelin Pilot Sport Cup tyres The final result: Video, full size photos and more info @ http://modgarage.net/project/alpina Last edited by Femme; 03-26-2010 at 04:46 PM.. |

An instant classic. Saying well done would be a terrible understatement.
Quick questions. How much did re-trimming those Pole Positions cost you? And did you use an aftermarket seat heating setup? I am looking to pick up a pair of Pole Positions and wouldn't mind saving money by going with the cloth option and getting them reupholstered. I'd go with a leatherette-type vinyl or leather.

And what about the airbag sensor/light/mat on the passenger seat? How did you address that issue? I've read that you can simply use the occupancy mat out of an E46 M3 which goes for around $100. I've also seen people using various black boxes or emulators to trick the sensor but that doesn't really appeal to me all that much.
