HERE IS THE PRICE FOR THE SCOOPS...

Laidback has asked for groupbuy pricing and I am doing my best to see what I can do in this matter. Most of you know that we hand make them here to ensure fitment, performance and quality. As part of RPi's commitment to our customers, value is very important. Setting the right/fair price for a product has always been a priority so none of our retail prices will be far fetched like some of the products from other manufacturers. Because of that, it is not common for us to give out "introductory prices" or "group buys". Discounts for those types of sales are minimal at best. We feel that the work we put behind our products, in your case, ram air @ 8whp+ for $125, is an awesome value without any type of sales of gb.

I have two sets of ram air intakes to show those who come to our Open House today. Please dont ask to buy them as they are already sold .

With that, I will continue to work with you guys......and laidback.......on giving you guys a great product at a great value.

Yes, simple as taking off your grill, taking off the restrictive dam to the OEM ram air... installing the RPI scoop and reinstalling the grill...

For the skeptics.............

I want to thank Earl for taking the time to come down and see for himself.........

Earl and I talked a while ago and he was asking me about the scoop. Anyways, he came today and we did a bunch of dyno pulls, etc.

You can see the hp and tq difference between having the ram air and not. These tests were done WITH THE STOCK AIR FILTER. Earl is STILL using the stock filter so NO FILTER was changed. NO BMC, No K&N, bone stock. You can also see that removing the charcoal filter does little to nothing w/o the ram air set up as with ram air, there was only a 1-1.5whp gain.

The best thing about all this was that we ran the car over and over again on the dyno with heat soak. Even Earl asked me if I wanted to open the hood and let the car cool down a little. I said, "no, I love to underate our gains." Its not uncommon for companies to let the car sit for 30 minutes or an hour so the car would cool down before dyno testing their product. Maybe Earl can chime in but I dont think we let the car rest even 5 minutes between pulls.

Your distributor wants about 275,38$ for the scoop incl. Filter, this is not acceptable - for just some bucks more I will buy the gruppe M intake.

The BMC filters are produced in italy and they cost about 55,-€ (81,60$) in a normal german store. So you think 193,78$ for the scoop is a killer price?

Is this a dyno for a SI coupe? I ask because of the rear wheel numbers. If it is where do I sign up? Just by looking at the graphthere is a huge jump in Hp at the 110mph level and widens by a lot up until 125. What were the exact numbers gain over stock? I hope this is a dyno for an SI. Keep us posted.

Good point, its rated 330hp, shouldn't it be putting 290 down to the wheels?

You are free to order from us directly if you want. The prices are marked up in Europe and Australia due to freight. If you were to buy it from us and have it shipped it would be similar in price. If you feel the Gruppe M intake performs better and at a better price, that is your purchasing decision.

$125 for 12whp on a Dyno Dynamics, maybe 15-16whp on a Dynojet? What a rip off! lol.

Some of you may be new to the differences between dynos. If you are familiar with the different dynos available, Dyno Dynamics is known to have super conservative numbers. Our numbers read much lower than other dynos like dynojet, mustang, land/sea, etc. For a detailed description of the differences, visit: http://raceprecision.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=105

The important thing here is that we track the gains on the same car, on the same day. The number is really just a number. We have had MANY customers who have dynoed at 260whp that have given the whoopass to those who have dynoed 300whp+ on other dynos.

Ya, I'm about an hour and a half from RPI, just gotta find time to make the trip up. Hopefully this weekend if its not pouring. Looks clear for tomorrow, I'll give Eloy a call, woke up with a nasty sore throat.
