I-pod / Dice with premium sound.

Thinking of buying a Dice or Dension iceLink to connect an I-Pod to the stock 2004 BMW Top HIFI with DSP.
Has anyone had experience of this, which would you choose? Do they both control the I-Pod logically and seamlessly, how many play list / albums can you access from the car HIFI, I read somewhere that you could only have 6.
I know the Dice has a DSP converter not sure about the Dension.
Does the Text function work on the head unit?
Is the sound quality genuinely as good as a CD?
Thanks.
