Audi S5 0-60

Yes, I know, its a BMW forum but this article is the first one I've seen w/ A5 and S5 0-60 times. I also know that 0-60 isn't everything. I just thought this information regarding a direct competitor car was interesting and that some of you may find it to be also. Soon I would like to see what the S5 price will be; I suspect it will be in M3 territory.

the stats aren't impressive. im more curious to know what the RS5 is capable of.

Yeah, I read in Automobile Mag (I think, unless it was another online car mag) online that they expect the S5 to do 0-60mph in 5.1 sec. Ehh...that thing is going to be very heavy.

OUCH!! I just saw an MSRP on Audi World of $55,900 euros - I believe that's $75,000 US dollars!!! Goodbye Audi S5, hello BMW M3!!!

5.1 should be spot on. It shouldnt be faster or slower than an S4. I dont get why the surprise. And lol at ilmor, you must not have seen the euro prices of 335s. They're borderline irrelevant when comparing to US.

Actually, I anticipate it to be faster than the current S4 -- as the S5 is built on the next generation S4 platform.

Talking stock for stock, if you just want straight line performance, then dont get a audi. Their about so much more then that.
