It is 98 octane RON. in germany the got 100 octane and was last weekend to the DTM on the Nürburgring and they were giving flags form ARAL with a publicity for 102octane fuel!!!!

So your 98 is our 93. Which explains your loss of power with the 95. At 100+ though all fuels (I think) are measured on the same scale. So your 100 octane would be 100 in the US. Thanks for the update.
Most places in the US (except a few random locations, sunoco will sometimes have a 100 octane pump) you can only get 100+ at race tracks or from race vendors |

In Germany they allready have 100 octane fuel on different stations. here in Lux only one station and that is BP. Aral will bring the new 102octane and then we will have everywere here in Luxembourg 100octane fuel

What were they charging for it? There's a local station around here that caters to racers and sells 100 octane for around $8/gal.

I honestly cant remember, it had a big posting next too it that said 'race gas not diseal (it had a green pump) if you fill up on accident you are responsible for the charges'
