Just my opinion here....not trying to sway anyone of course.

It is indeed a complicated zone to deal with. It is often referred to as the area where it looks damaged by those unfamiliar with the cars designer history.
I know I'm in the minority but that's one of the reasons I'm not a big fan of the skirts.
The added straight line on the skirt in that area makes it a jumbled mess of curves & lines. (JMO)

Yeah, seats look great! (@dsc_off..forgot to quote. D'oh!) BTW my aeros should be done being painted like any second now. I'm so excited to get them on the car (painted reflectors & APR splitter too while I'm at it).

Trade offs in any design. I know several have mentioned and I certainly agree that the M should have come with a skirt of some kind and not a after thought to really distinguish the car over the Z4's. Even above and beyond the Aero kit. Pretty much take the place of a full blown Alpina set up.

Got my skirts back from the paint shop and put them on this afternoon. I took pics but the lighting sucks so I'm not gonna bother posting them. Does the front portion of the weatherstrip touch the rocker on everyone else's? Mine taper away from the rocker for the last few inches and end up maybe half an inch to 3/4 of an inch from the rocker. I don't recall what the non-aeros looked like before I took them off. I also wasn't able to get the final fastener right in front of the rear wheel well to line up. I might have to jack the car up at some point and redrill to make it work, though it doesn't seem to really be an issue. Everything's tight. Also had a hard time with the mud flaps. A couple of the holes don't line up so I'm gonna have to work on those, too, when I have a chance. Minor issues aside, the match is perfect and they look great. I also got my reflectors/lights painted. The fronts are done but I ran out of time to do the rears.

Yep. Everything lines up perfectly on the outside so I'm not concerned. I just had a couple minor issues I was wondering if anyone else had experienced.

Looks good. Out of curiosity, how did you go about accessing the rear corner lights? I've asked a couple times about the easiest method and not really received a solid answer. Through the fender liner or removing the bumper?

The easiest but most involved way is to remove the bumper. If you're comfortable removing the bumper, do it. If not, the more annoying and painful (but less involved) way is to access through the liner.

Before you remove the bumper, try removing the rear light assembly first (much easier - just 3 nuts). If I recalled correctly, after the rear light assembly slides out, you'll have access to that rear corner light.

Thanks for the tip, Ken. Can't be much tighter than accessing the front via the panel in the wheel well. My arm is all scratched up from that.

WOW! That's probably the best picture I've seen of a Z ever! You sure never disappoint with your pictures.

Finally got a halfway decent pic. Tough to capture the side skirts on a dark car unless the lighting is just right. I had some trouble refitting the mud flaps but I'll get those on in the near future just because I'd like to have the paint protection. Anyway, since I haven't seen a pic of the on an IB car before, here you go!

Keep us updated on the mud flaps. I've been interested in getting them.

Some of the holes don't match up because the front edge of the aero is wider inside the wheel well than the non-aero. I fitted the drivers side but it looked like crap (my fiancé said it looked fine ) so I removed it and I'll get to it in a couple weeks when I get back from work.

I got the front mud flaps on last night. I had to redrill two holes on each to make them fit and line up properly. The thinnest replacement two-sided tape I could find is a bit thicker than what came with it but only slightly. It was dark when I left my garage last night. When I go back today to put everything back together (I had a few other projects going at the same time) I'll snap some picks for you. It's not pretty in the wheel well but if everything stayed put (mainly tape), which I believe it will, it looks fine on the outside.

Here are some pics. You can see the bottom two holes had to be modified but everything looks good on the outside.

Ok, has anyone had problems with slight sagging in the front near the wheel well? Like maybe the first 1 inch?

One of mine is absolutely perfect, the other has a ever so slight sag.

The one that fits perfectly had to be cut, but the one that is sagging didn't need to be, probably a slightly different mounting design.

Thoughts?

@ the seam?
I don't recall if you have an M or not & your profile doesn't say (Drives 1???) did you do the trim at that end? (if you have an M)

Yes, it is an M.

My passenger side needed trimming, the drivers side did not.
