I hope not. My thinking is when it is ready to ship indicate the exhaust is ready to go. If Stromung ship on Wednesday, I will get it Friday or Saturday.

good luck with that

last time when i place my order, lets say it was Monday(credit card charged). Wednesday i call Scott, he said there was a piece missing for the exhaust and it would be send out on Friday...

i didn't get the shipment until 3+ weeks later LOL
it's only shipped to WA so it usually takes about 3-5 business days for UPS/Fedax(forgot which carrier they used) to deliver from CA where Stromung is.

but it's worth the wait

Installed mine last weekend. The jury is still out on whether I like it or not. It's a little louder than I expected, with a definate drone around 2800 RPM's....right about where I cruise at 70mph in sixth gear. On the plus side, above 3500RPM's, it sounds delicious, and I love the deeper tone overall. I'm undecided. Maybe i'm just getting old.

The OTHERmod I did at the same time, the Tekarbon treatment for the headlights, came out fantastic. Far exceeding my expectations.

Donate, no. Sell at a loss, and get Remus...possibly. I need more time with it to decide. As I said, there are aspects I absolutely love about it. I do a LOT of highway cruising back and forth between D.C. And Philly. The drone, or "peak" as Scott calls it, at 2800 is in exactly the wrong spot in the RPM spectrum.
The quality is outstanding, the sound when you WANT sound is fantastic. They look great too. It's just that 2800 drone for me.

Well I can't wait to get it installed. The drone will bother me a bit, but I am usually in traffic or going considerably faster than 70 so we'll see. But IMO anything has to sound better than stock. To me it is embarrassing. To me anyways. Before and after install pics soon to come.

as carbon deposits build up in the mufflers, the tone and resonance frequencies will change marginally. this usually takes upwards of 500 to 1000 miles to notice a difference. alternatively, sound dampening the trunk floor is an option to absorb the low frequency bass/drone and bring out more of the awesome higher-pitched sounds.

Well... Got it installed... WOW! Marked improvement when compared to oem. They look great and well the sound... Deep and full of bass, some nice burbles and pops when downshifting. WOT is a thing of beauty. The only thing that would make happier would be my gf bring home Megan Fox for a menage

Vicj I looked for drone, but ready could find none. Heading up to limerock today I will see if I can find any.

Over all As of this moment, I am very happy with these cans

Can you do me a huge favor if you get a chance? Can you snap a picture of how close together your flanges came when you installed the Stromung? Are they flush, like stock, or do you have a gap, like I do. On mine, it's almost as if the metal seal ring is slightly too large for the pipe leading INTO the Stromung. I can't feel any air leaking there, but at the same time, it just doesn't look right.

Will try to get under there tomorrow. Drove 150 miles today, nothing but joy. Though they are quite a bit louder than stock, but deep and bassy definitely not ricer

Oh, I agree. Much deeper tone. MUCH better sounding when you WANT sound. For me, it's just that drone at 2500-2800. I just drove up and back to Philadelphia, and it gets quite annoying. I spoke with Scott about it. He admits there is a "peak", as he calls it, right at those RPM's.

I'm actually hoping there's a small leak at those flanges that I can fix.

How many of you in the GB received the mufflers? I got email from UPS on 5/25 with tracking number. It has been over a week and no package is not in UPS facility. I am hoping it will get here this week. My car is going in this week to install Euro headers and section 1. I will be nice to do the muffler at the same time.
