Swapping driver and passenger seats, possible?

I've got an M coupe with electric/memory seats without heating. My passenger seat leather and cushion are in much better condition than the driver's side. Just wondering how difficult it is to remove them from the seat base then swapped around?

If all it takes is a couple of bolts after removing the seats that's fine by me. However if it involves removing those metal rings that hold the leather in place then it's definitely not worth the effort.

Anyone done this before? I remember there was a thread where someone took his seat apart and replaced it with new cushions but I can't seem to find it now...

Just found out that seat covers on the bum area for driver and passenger sides are different part numbers... I guess that means they can't be swapped?

Passenger seat foam has a built-in occupancy sensor, if you unplug it you will trigger the airbag light to come on.
Also the seats themselves are slightly different, the passenger has 2 little hooks that allow isofix seats to be strapped in, this may also be why the part numbers differ.

The seatbelts would be on the inside of the seats versus the outside also

He was looking to swap just the seat bottoms or the covers for the seat bottoms, not swap the left and right seats.
