The old series is great. I tried watching the new series when it first came out and couldn’t get more than 2 episodes in.

Just started watching Season 1 of the Alienist on TNT which seems worth watching. Season 2 just started but watched to back-watch Season 1 before I started on Season 2.

I'm a sucker for murder mysteries. I finished up Unsolved Mysteries a few weeks back on Netflix and it's quite good. It's a reboot from the old television show narrated/hosted by Robert Stack back in the late 80s-90s. I remember his voice was beyond creepy but such a natural fit given the type of show.

I just started watching Alias with Jennifer Garner on Amazon Prime. This show was originally aired starting in 2001. I am amazed by how good it is for a TV show from that era. Well done and entertaining.

That’s was a pretty good show in its time. Like many TV series is deteriorated as time went by. But she didn’t.

I was never a huge basketball fan but I enjoyed the series. It certainly shows the drive the man had!

Actually, I don't think it deteriorated at all. That is why I like it. It's a 19 year old show and the level of quality is amazing for that time or for any time. It's like watching a Bond or Mission Impossible movie in terms of action, camera work, 20+ episodes a season. I have know idea how they produced this level of production every week. Also, as you mention, Jennifer Garner remains awesome. I have to give her credit for her acting in Alias. I hear she did most of her own stunts, she looked great (duh), she pulled off 5 or 6 different languages, and I'm certain she could kick all of our asses with her fight scene skills.

Actually should have said deteriorated as seasons went by (rather than implying today vs. then). Great when it started but so-so by final seasons.

This is why I'm so amazed. I missed the first couple of seasons. I don't remember it being this good. After I finish the second season, I have a dilemma. Do I stop there and savor two great seasons or watch the rest as the show goes downhill?

JJ Abrams series are worth watching all the way through IMESHO. Sure it may lose some steam, but it should not disappoint.

I feel as thought I'm reaching the end of options, I'm nearing the end of Kingdom and I'm rooting against Joe Jonas. How many times can I watch Old Guard? I even watched the beginning of Californication last night...
