Car is not really a drag car, just be confident that they are pretty quick.

Someone sell me there coupe so I can turn it into a 600hp monster (and run it).

Drag racing "any" car is a perfect way to illustrate and show off straight line performance....smart car to jet dragsters doesn't matter.

If you're worried about straight-line performance then you got the wrong car. Throwing a pro charger on a Gran Sport 'vette would be a much better idea if that's all you want.

Over used cliche^. I said drag racing "a" car is a good way to show off straight line performance. It's also a great way to measure power mods. A 700 hp Z4M is not the wrong car for straight line performance and it's also a great handling machine. To the other odd statement.....I don't like Vetts and again your analogy is short sighted and close minded. A Z4M that does 0-60 in 3 seconds flat with 130mph+ traps is hardly the wrong car for straight line performance. That isn't the point though, I was talking about the value of drag racing "ANY" car for performance measurement and certainly a gauge to value your power mods.

"Drag times" imply a standing start trap speed over a given distance. This is not a true indicator of power. Instead it's a combination of driver skill + traction + power. A 60-130 pull is a much better indicator of actual power since the skill and traction factors are greatly diminished.

We could go back and forth all day long, both methods are good for showing off a car's performance. Drag racing certainly demonstrates traction and skill more than 60-130...true statement. I like both methods for a more complete analysis. Cheers

I have some draggy times on the street with crappy launches on r888s

Weight-3125 lbs with me and 1/3 tank

12.56@118.8 w/ 2.19

9.7s 60-130

What used to be a vf570, but now has a larger heat exchanger, more aggressive fin profile for higher rpm boost curve on the vortech v3-si, on 93 octane. 12psi at redline. Stock pullies. Haven't dynoed the car.

Now running e85 but haven't gotten any times, excited to trap over 120! Also have a wot box to play with more consistent launches on the street.
