E46 M3 vs Z4M rear brake line length

Hi Folks,

I understand that the E46 M3 rear brake lines are a different length than the Z4M rear brake lines. I am considering a rear BBK for the E46 M3 "with competition package". I understand this should fit just fine, except for the length of the brake lines being different.

Does anyone know what the right rear brake line length is for a 2006 Z4M?

Cheers!

Rear Brake hose length

Yes the rear e46M3 are Longer than the E86M.

The stock rear hose is in two parts. You can get two replacement lengths for the rear brakes. a short section from the trailing arm near the bearing to the caliper, or a one piece modified part from the body all the way to the caliper.

The first pictar is E86 last section

Second is E86 one piece modification

Third is the E46 M3 rear brake hose

I am finally getting around to looking at my rear brakes. The idea of a single line seems much smarter than multiple lines (fewer connections to fail).

Is there any way to get an exact spec on the single line for an E85/86?

Above tape measure says 27". You can always add 1/2 inch....

Or ask/buy from David Zeckhausen at zeckhausen racing

He will give you the straight dope

Wouldn't it be 27 1/2" for the single line modification for the E85/86?

I thought the 21" line was for the E46.
