first vandalism
so went to dinner with my girlfriend. parked next to a car full of kids.
should have known better and pulled right back out. after dinner i found the passenger fender blinker/badge was missing. just a big hold in the front fender SO angry... anyways, i guess it could have been worse. can anyone point me where/how to get this fixed? is there a proper name for this? thanks *sigh |

note:
its the badge and the circular "panel" around it. they were nice enough not to rip out the wires. http://www.motortrend.com/roadtests/.../photo_07.html |

On my last Lexus, I had the license plates stolen one afternoon in my parking garage. It's strange, because the thieves were kind enough to leave the car completely undamaged.
On the other hand, over the next three months somebody racked up over $5000 in fines running tollbooths on the North Dallas Tollway with my plates on their car. At $25 a pop, that means they ran the tollbooths over 200 times. I was getting weekly letters detailing my supposed transgressions, complete with photo's of my license plates on what was obviously the previous model ES 300. I had to visit the NTTA with an official copy of the police report, and give a sworn deposition, in order to get the fines dismissed. I feel your pain, bro. |

wow, i've never heard of that ^
unfortunately i don't have an alarm. would it really have gone off though? im surprised bmw makes those side panel emblems a BREEZE to steal. doesnt make sense to me, but to be honest, it could have been ALOT worse. apparently there was a punk rock concert in the neighborhood, so that might explain it.... i much rather them steal my emblem then be malicious and key it or slash the tires |

Agreed, could have been much worse, but any vandalism or messing with someones car sucks.

a badge is a pretty easy fix. some in some way i do feel lucky.
i did get the guys licenses plate. don't think i can really DO anything about it though. i'm 90% sure it was them since they were gawking when i pulled up next to them. my lesson here is i should have followed my gut instinct. there was a backpack in the car. i actually tried opening their doors. i bet it was in there, because who the hell walks around with a bmw emblem in their pocket? |

Idiots are everywhere.
Kids across the street scraped my front bumper with a basketball. Its only a small scrape that I fixed with touch up paint. When I asked them to stay out of the driveway one evening, I thought all was well. But then the tire of my wife's car went flat the next afternoon. Oddly enough, its held air perfectly for the three weeks since I pumped it up. But surely these fine young lads couldn't let the air out of some lady's tires, right? I mean, I'm sure the neighbor wouldn't speak to me if I suggested his kids knew something about that! There's just no anymore.
