Bmw true north meet?

Anyone planning on going to the bmw true north event next week (Sunday sept 30th) at pfaff bmw in Mississauga?

The crazy thing is, this town is literally crawling with Z4's lately. I wish some of those folks, who I unfortunately haven't met, would join up here so we could organize some event.

No cost to attend, but if you want to register for the show (and potentially win awards) there is a cost for that. I'm registered automatically because I have a BMWTN membership, but honestly the award part is kind of a farce as they literally have 2 awards for every sub-category of car. Feels very much like a participation trophy.

I think having two Z cars show up is reason enough to party haha. Last year only had 5 (2x E86, 1x E85, 2x E36/7) + the Z8 that was trailered in as one of the show attractions by the organizers.

3GFX and I won the 2 trophies last year. Although one of ours should have gone to Daemonblitz except he was excluded on a stupid technicality lol.

He brought two vehicles, his Z4M and S1000RR. Well he was 1/2 bikes that showed up, the other being a pretty ratty Japanese bike so he won obviously won Best Bike because there was no competition (to be fair his bike is also pretty nice).

Well the organizers felt he shouldn't win 2 awards, and since they had to give him Best Bike, he was ineligible for the Best Z award.

Seemed they only gave out 1 Z-series trophy - unsurprisingly (and deservingly) went to Daemonblitz. Surprisingly I got the Best Wheels award, a category I didn't even consider given some of the other wheels in the show (some nice HRE and BBS contenders) - but I'm not complaining.

Nice that you picked up an award for the wheels. I have always liked that model of wheels.

I would also agree with the z class winner. He has done a lot to the car and it all goes together well. I only registered in the hopes of winning by default... And then all you guys came out and ruined my plan!! Lol.
