I have called Vivid Racing in Gilbert AZ, the local H&R distributor that installed the H&R coilovers back in January, and am waiting to hear back from them regarding next steps to get the front coilovers repaired or replaced.

Supposedly, H&R has a life-time warranty on their product, so in theory this shouldn't be a problem... except for the hassle of having to take my car to the shop again.

Has anyone else had experience with H&R warranty claims???

OK... So here's an update on my situation. I contacted Vivid Racing, the shop that sold and installed the H&R coil overs on my Z4MC. They ordered a new set of front struts from H&R and installed them on the car... No change whatsoever in the noise coming from somewhere in the left front end. They also put a wrench on every nut and bolt just to make sure nothing was loose. Still no improvement. The only other thing they could come up with was to replace the left front strut bearing which upon inspection seemed to be making a clicking noise. Still have the noise and the shop is pretty much out of ideas. So, before I do anything else, I thought I would update the group and see if anyone has any other ideas. Again, the sound I'm hearing is a light, intermittent knocking/creaking sound (it's hard to describe), like something is loose, most noticeable when rolling over even small bumps at slow speed when there's little engine noise to mask it. The sound is definitely coming from left front and seems more suspension than steering related. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Update... Took the car to my local independent BMW repair shop. They fixed my problem for free and completely eliminated the noise by simply tightening the ball joint which was slightly less than a full turn loose. So, contrary to the original mis-diagnosis I received from GoodSpeed Performance Lab -- which sent me on a costly and time-consuming wild goose chase -- the problem was never with the H&R coil overs at all. And I must say I remain extremely happy with the performance of the H&Rs... both ride and handling.

Glad to hear you got your problems sorted out. I'm loving mine too. Bumps are softer. However, I've been doing some spirited driving and I find the car has more roll than previous. But I'm not sure if that's also because of the new Hankooks as well with softer sidewalls.
