STARTING thickness of M rotors?

I mic'ed my rotors today, my fronts are at 27.8mm and rears at 19.3mm

Above the minimums, obviously.

I was wondering though what the actual starting thickness the rotors are at. I'm just trying to figure out how long it took to get from starting to current. With that information I can just guesstimate how much longer I can expect out of the rotors with auto-xing and a HPDE event at mid-ohio coming up.

Thanks guys.

20.0mm sounds okay. But i don't know about 28.0mm. I got some serious shouldering on the front and it's hard to believe that's 0.2mm

Thanks for the information though! Good starting point.

Front rotor: 345x28mm

Rear rotor: 328x20mm

If I recall, the original thickness is stamped on the rotor hat as well as the minimum thickness. But I haven't had the OEM front rotor since, oh, 2006 so my memory is hazy. Should probably check my rear rotor thickness, I mean, after all, they're more than 6 years old now with 36,000+ very hard driven miles.

I retract my previous statement. Interesting. I'm surprised how much shouldering I have on the rears regardless. Just odd.

Either way, I got plenty of life for another year to 2!
