Hose Help
Hello, I just acquired a 2003 BMW Z4 E85 3.0l with 85k miles. It has lots of issue but was a good deal. I've been going through the engine have found several split hoses. One of them is the Brake booster vacuum hose. This assembly is about $97. I only need the hose circled on the pic. Does anyone know if I can just by that hose rather than the whole assembly? Thanks

Welcome to the forum...
If it were mine, I'd just replace the entire assembly. Do you really want to trust the 18 year old plastic on something that supplies vacuum to the brake booster |

If only $97 would fix my BMW... Unfortunately this is just one of many things that need to be replaced. The car was sitting for several years before I got it.
Can anyone tell me what this used to be? |

I've replaced a few vacuum hoses on my N52 engine with hydraulic fluid hoses and stainless steel hose clamps. They broke while doing a intake manifold swap and it's been running great since.
For the connectors, you may be able to find just those and run hydraulic hose to them. Check on https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/select and see what you find. Searched for your M54 engine and a few min of Google-Fu later, found this https://www.autohausaz.com/pn/OE-11617545383 Get that and use differing sizes of hydraulic hose. It's just rubber automotive hose... 69 cents a foot.

Further inspection reveled another split in the host right before it goes into the booster. Given all the issues with these hoses. I'm going to replace the entire assembly just to be on the safe side. Thanks for all the recommendations.
