Nope.. mine did not.. which is kinda good, that manual valve have known to get stuck.. I left that cable off mine. I mean if you want to buy original BMW for 4x the cost to get the valve, you can.

I've already ordered the Mustang pump. I was just curious whether it had it or not.

The mustang pump alternative does not include a manual bypass valve. Once you plumb the new pump in your top will either function or remain static, no manually wrestling it into place.

Because of this it's wise to have the top in partially open state when you do your initial function testing. This will give you a fighting chance to avoid getting it stuck in fully open or fully closed condition if you plumbed it up wrong.

Mine took about 2-3 hour. I didn't have the right tools to pop that cap off the top and had to order the mustang motor and wait for it.. but with the right tool, it should take about 1-1.5.

I also spend time cleaning the mustang motor as the fluid it came in was pitch black.

Broken motor terminal

I broke the terminal off my roof motor and thought I could just bolt the Mustang motor up to my pump for a quick fix, but seems they don’t quite match up. Anyone ever fix a broken terminal—or do I just have to swap out entire motor/pump assembly?

Definitely a shout out to the OP for this. After. Few years I decide to tackle the broken roof motor. Replaced the motor only with eBay aftermarket but somehow I screwed up a pin inside the pump. Found this and immediately ordered the Mustang assembly from eBay. Quick swap of the entire assembly and it worked right away testing with a Power Wheels 12v battery. OP saved me hundreds of dollars!

Now I have an extra motor available for sale.

Most definitely. I've done three of them so far. Takes about 45min to and hour.

Too bad you’re not closer to me, I’d pay good money for someone to help swap it if they could do less than an hour!
