Best mod so far. They sound awesome with the Diablo's. Fit flush like the factory header. Made it so much easier to install. Pricey but worth it!

Ouch, I hate to say it - but welcome to what may be a life of it never getting to 100%. I blew out my shoulder back when playing lacrosse in college (in early '04). Six years later, some days it's almost completely fine with a dull pain and slightly limited mobility; other days I can barely move my arm without pain shooting down my right side.
I seriously feel for anyone who has a shoulder injury.

WOW, that is the deal of all deals. The prices I've seen are 1800-3000. I'd pounce on it if it was 1300. They sell new for 4k+.

Man I wish America was more like Europe in the sense that different states/countries were closer. I would love to go to a National Zpost meet and meet y'all and your amazing rides.

That's what I'm afraid of. I don't really get the pain so bad. It's more of the lack of confidence in the strength of it. Afraid it is going to give out or stretch something when lifting something heavy. Sometimes it feels "loose", like I need to tighten a few bolts or something. I guess its time to throw the wakeboard up on Craigslist.

Yeah, it is a bit of a stretch. But the sole purpose of my toolbox is to support the modding and maint. of the M, so I count it.

Yeah, but the weather is so much better in Phoenix

That is, if you don't mind cooking from the inside out 9 months out of the year.

I'd be down to fly out and help just to get out of the heat.

Yep, it was a real steal.

It would be great to put together a National Zpost meet. I think it would be cool if we could get a group toether for Mfest, or Bimmerfest.
I never see very many Z4's in the pictures of those events.

I'm so jealous of that Motorsport plenum and the GruppeM. They just look so good!

Oh, and well done on the garage!
The cutout looks good now that it's finished and you freed up a lot of space with the toolbox.

Haha and you know the invite stands if you wanna get away from the heat for a few days!

How much did they quote you on the tune to get the plenum to work right? I'm just imagining an all carbon fiber engine bay that sounds ridiculous

They sounded rediculous too.

Thanks man.
You've worked in the garage before, so you know how lame it was working out of tubs. We were still able to get it doen though, now it's just that much easier.

Yeah, need to get out of this heat. I wonder what flight are like right now?

At the time, I could not get hard quotes without actually starting the tune. Bimmerworld gave me a ball park of $1200. ESS would do it, but did not recomend relocating the air shut-off vacuum line.

To pull this off without an expensive tune, you just need to heat up the stock elbow with a heat gun until it is a little bit plyabe. Then fit it of over the plenum and let it cool. You don't get the extra 5 hp of the streamline boot, but you still get the gains from the plenum no hassle with engine codes.

If I had come up with this solution before selling the plenum, I may have kept it.

This really did look and sound ridiculous

Hmm, I'd think a few hundred. I'll check them on my end.
