I have an '03 Z4 3.0 auto without the sports button, I haven't gone rummerging around in the centre console looking for the white connector yet. But I did read that when the button is pressed people say that 'SD' appears on the dash, this also happens when you shift the auto gear lever to the left, is this not the same mode or does the sport button add another dimension to the throttle control?

Thanks in advance

The sport button alters the throttle map, stiffens the steering, and puts the transmission in sport mode. It may also make transmission shifts in manual mode somewhat quicker (this is definitely the case on newer BMWs, not sure about the e85)

Sport button for exhaust valve

Hi - I'm getting a cutout valve with a remote. I'd like the sport button to serve as the switch for the valve rather than the remote. Is that possible?

Hello Chuck, I know I'm reviving an age old thread. Hopefully you see this post. You said that you found someone who can generate a new data file. Can you please share who you contacted about that? Thanks in advance! Russ
