Do not get ripped off on AliExpress - read my experience!

Friends, I got ripped off buying an Aneroid aftermarket Navigation/head unit from AliExpress.

I am sharing the detail of my experience just a warning - DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS SELLER.
GO TO THIS WEBSITE FOR THE DETAILS.

https://zvizeman.wixsite.com/crooked-sellers

Please read to the end of the page to see how you will not get any support from AliExpress. In fact, it does not allow me to leave a negative review (probably that is how they increase their sales)

It would be interesting to see if others have had a similar experience buying relatively expensive items from AliExpress.

Funny that this thread is coming up right now as I'm trying to get my money back on 4 speakers for my Z4 that I purchased online from Aliexpress a month ago.
They are impossible to get a hold of, will not respond to multiple emails.
I would much rather have the speakers I ordered so I just started the dispute process with paypal and maybe they will respond to paypals emails.
I have never bought with them before and will never waste my time with them again.

That phrase, you get what you pay for, rings true more often than not.

BTW, AliExpress provided an answer to my dispute; guess what?!

The issue is that they allow you a total of 500 characters (spaces included) to write whether you disagree with their decision and if so, why - all in practically 2 lines.

Moreover, while yesterday, when I wanted to leave feedback it stated I had another 24 days to post my feedback, today that number box disappeared.

Obviously, AliExpress deceitfully and purposely does not allow negative feedback so to attract suckers like me to buy from their 5-star vendors.

So you are saying if I paid 4 times as much for the speakers then they would have arrived already, that the more expensive the product the less likely it is to get delayed or lost during shipment?
There is no correlation between the price of a product and when it arrives.
In my case it's a lack of communication, ebay and amazon are pretty good about keeping up notifications, Aliexpress not so much.

Remember the Fast, Cheap, or Good triangle. You can only have two sides.

That’s certainly good advise but I think that if any vendor promises to deliver on all three sides of the triangle then that’s what you pay for and that’s what you should get.

I’m reminded of the classic Bugs Bunny cartoon where Yosemite Sam says “ I paid for a high diving’ act and I’m a gonna see a high diving’ act”. While it seems in that case Bugs was out to screw Sam for comedic effect, getting ripped of one’s hard earned dollar these days in the real world is no laughing matter. One should always get what one is promised in the contract of sale between the buyer and the seller.

Most of those Chinese eCommerce sites are iffy at best. They have so many sellers of unknown reputation, then it takes forever to dispute something for a refund. I've used them a few times and it's hit or miss, I would never purchase anything expensive from them, since for me, it's not worth the risk trying to save some money. I mostly stick with purchasing through Amazon or ebay since it's easier to get a refund if things don't go well.

Ah yes, well fast is certainly out of the equation.
I was reading a thread over on the British Z4 forum by what seemed like, a stereo guru, he was saying that these speakers I paid for, even though they are Chinese knockoffs of Bang-Olufson still sound better than the stock door speakers on an e85-86 Z4, so I bought them on his recommendation.
I have since found them on ebay too, seems like it is a stock speaker on 20011-18 BMW's.

I know this now but at the time they seemed like a deal too good to pass up and who knows, they might still turn out to be that but if I do end up getting my money back I might just go with some used ones off ebay,

Apply the same caution to Facebook vendors. Lots of bait and switch. No oversight by the overlords.

My question is why did you install the unit at all? I would have packed it up and shipped it back immediately when I noticed it was not new.

I expect you will be able to get a refund via Paypal, but only if you remove the unit from the car and return it.

I got that covered, not a member of facebook, instgram, twitter or any of those things. I'll stick with forums thanks.

I've ordered multiple shit from Ali, and I gotta say,my experience has been good.. well good enough. Ive had stuff go missing in the mail, but that's common here. I've also disputed a few things which went my way when stuff has been annotated as arrived, but it hasn't.. no issues with refunds.. at least on my end.. mostly computer hobby stuff,so no idea about other stuff..
