Transmission Shifting Issues

My '08 Z4 currently has 128k miles with an automatic transmission. Every now and then when I'm driving it will hesitate at lower speeds. This is mainly when the trans is in 2nd getting ready to move to 3rd. This has happened twice. Once 2 weeks ago and then again last night. I don't see any transmission codes. Just Valvetronic, eccentric shaft sensor codes.

Does this sound like a transmission issue or something else? I have had the trans fluid and filter changed. TIA

Those codes are engine codes.

Hence me pointing out they are not transmission-related.

Both of those engine codes could cause those issues. Valvetronic kicks in around 2800rpms if I remember right. Could always be the vanos solenoids too. Doubt it's the trans at least I hope not for your sake. If it is just plan on doing a 6spd swap. My 3.0si hesitated until I PCV so it could be that as well. Depending on if yours is the gray or black top valve cover will decide if you have the CCV or the built in PCV.

Do you get rpm bounce at start up?

So then what makes you think your problem is the transmission?
