FS: 2007 Z4 M Coupe Alpine White / Imola Red - 57K Miles
It's a sad day for me as I've come to the realization that I need something with a rear seat. After years of wanting an AW/IR Z4MC, I finally bought this one from another forum member (abashoe) last year planning to keep it many years. At the time, my wife and I were planning to wait to have a baby for a couple of years, however plans change, and now we have a 5 month old baby girl! On top of that, I changed jobs/took a promotion which is taking up more of my time. All of it adds up to basically zilch alone time in the car as I'm tasked with daycare pickup daily, and don't have any free time. These are all positive developments EXCEPT I now have no time to drive one of my dream cars (seriously I've wanted one of these since they came out). I could keep it and look at it in the garage every day, but that would be torture. I would much rather someone else get to appreciate it as much as I do/did, and get into a fun car with rear seats. The obvious choice for me is a E46 M3... a little less raw/less visually appealing (to me), but still incredibly fun. I would be extremely interested in a trade for a low mileage one. Otherwise, I'm also considering a 996/997 Carrera. I figure after we have no more children in our household in car seats, I'll jump back into a M coupe. A note about the car, it is an absolute BLAST to drive. My favorite drive, was driving this car from NJ to MN after flying to NJ to pick it up with my wife. It was a gorgeous drive and the car was flawless (and again, a lot of fun). This drive is about half of the mileage I put on the car (4K miles) since purchase. This is my 2nd M car, with my first being a '00 Z3MR, and I know some will disagree with me, but I like the Z4MC about 50x more than the Z3MR. It's much more fun to drive imo, and being my 2nd/fun car, that's all I really care about. Details about the car: 2007 BMW Z4 M Coupe VIN: PM me 57,xxx miles Alpine white (1 of 148) Imola red leather (1 of 57 alpine/imola) Carbon leather trim (1 of 35 alpine/imola/carbon) Navigation (1 of 15 alpine/imola/carbon/nav) I am the 4th owner Clean CarFax - No accidents Location: Minneapolis, MN 55447 Maintenance is up to date. Recent/significant items: Replaced rear tires (1 got a nail in it) and oil change at 56K June 2018 Replaced Radiator Fan and oil change at 54K July 2017 Brake Fluid flush with ATE Gold. March 2017 (I flush annually) New battery. January 2017 Oil change at 50k. Nov 2016 (I change every 5k miles using only Castrol TWS, Liqui Moly Race Tech GT1, or Total Quartz Racing) 2 new front Michelin PSS. Sep 2016 Coolant flush at 48k using BMW blue coolant. May 2016 (I flush at 15k intervals). New front rotors. March 2016 Valve Adjustment done in 2013 at Rogue Engineering (NJ) along with the CPV o ring. Modifications: aFe intake (have OEM airbox) Stromung mufflers (have OEM mufflers) H+R front sway bar Ground Control coil overs (525/650) (have OEM suspension) Ground Control camber plates 19” forged Morr VS7 wheels. F:19 x 8.5, R:19 x 9.5 (have OEM Wheels) 245/35/19 & 265/35/19 Michelin Pilot Super Sports Misc: CDV delete, painted front reflectors, wheel studs, shorty antenna, black grills, etc.. Pics (some of these are from last year, I will get updated ones but the car hasn't changed): Price with everything: $34,500 Price with OEM Suspension/Wheels/Airbox/Exhaust: $31,500 - I would part out the coilovers/wheels/exhaust/intake PM me for contact info (don't need a bunch of scammers contacting me). |

Good deal! I remember when it was for sale a year and a half ago and I contacted him a day too late. This should sell quickly. GLWS

Thanks for the comments, PM replied.
Yeah I contacted the prev. owner the day it was posted for sale, and got in a little bit of a bidding war for the car as there was someone local also wanting it. The car is well sorted, had enthusiasts as prior owners, it's just great all around. |

Awesome car, beautiful property! =)
If I ever jumped back into a coupe, it'd have to be AW/IR... so clean! |

Thank you 3002tii!
Quick note for everyone: No problem getting a PPI done, I've had the car serviced at the local high end/European shop in town, Imola Motorsport (look them up). Can get it done there, or there are a few other European BMW shops as well as BMW dealerships around as well. I've had several serious potential buyers reach out, preference will be given to those that are interested in buying everything/make the transaction as easy as possible on my end. |

Emailed the thread to a couple of friends that live in Minnesota. One is in Plymouth and the other is in Saint Paul.
Both of them liked it. I highly suggested that one of them check it out and if they like, just buy it. |

Deposit was placed by someone on another forum from out of town (for full price w/mods), financing is not 100% certain/we haven't fully discussed payment terms, so it is not sold yet. He asked me to hold it until tomorrow to figure out financing/payment/transport. Sounds confident he will be able to secure all the funds.
Another on here (robertm) is second in line in waiting and seems very legitimate, he is planning to put a deposit (based on what happens with the first guy) pending a PPI. Just want to keep everyone updated. |

that was quick! I would say 'good luck' but looks like you don't need it.
I still miss the car. I sold the car for the same reason you are: had a kid and needed something fun, but with back seats! |

Thanks Al, yes there a couple people are lined up behind the current buyer. So it's effectively sold already. Did not anticipate it would be similar to when you sold the car to me.
Deposit placed, PPI complete, buyer (I'll let him identify himself if he chooses) is booking his flight out. Happy and sad day at the same time, but have to look forward. |

I am the proud new soon to be owner if this beautiful ride! I am over the moon, through the roof, top of the world, excited to finally get to own one of these create cars. I've been looking seriously for about 4 months now and have been in serious negotiations on 4 other cars which I either passed on or the deal went south.
Mar48 has been great to work with and it's pretty cool to be able to see the history of the car on the forum from Abashoe days. Once I own the car I will be a more regular contributor to the forum. The car won't see any track duty or other exciting stuff with me. Will be a garage queen that gets driven to work on Fridays and nice weekends. When you see this car come up for sale again in many years plan on it looking just as good as it does today and the day Abashoe sold it! |

congrats to RobertM for picking this up. I was the original buyer who jumped on this when I saw it, but apparently, due to so much fraud going throughout the online world, he backed out of the transaction because he felt me wiring cash wasn't good enough. Yes it was a bit frustrating, but nonetheless, as a fellow BMW owner, it's good it's going to safe hands. things sometimes are not meant to be, if it's meant for you it goes to you.
alls well ends well |

Yes, but it was really interesting because his guy at Wells fargo who opened him a new account to receive my funds in said it will take 3 days to clear. He actually expected cash in person vs the wire, because the guy at Wells Fargo told him to there's a chance that the money I sent could be from the cartel
I asked why did he open a new account just to accept my wire, and he said because there's risk in giving your bank account over the phone. I am over it, but everytime the thought of how that went made me think, what was that all about lol |

Yes, robertm flew here and picked up the car, smooth transaction all around.
There are other details not discussed on here (and will not be discussed), that made me less comfortable with one offer and more with another. In person, at the bank, is the way to go...all else being equal. I'll leave it at. |
