The question that I have is the intake induction tube has a "Reservoir" or polyp and a "Sound generator" which goes into the cockpit. It is my assertion that these rob power and flow. That is the main reason I think that an aftermarket intake tube may be worth it, but not for $500! Any thoughts? Thank yoU!

Ive had mine for about a year and for me it was worth it. If I recall on their website AFE shows a 4-6hp gain on the dyno but you shouldn't expect any kick from a gain that small.
On the other hand, the sound is great and would never go back to the stock intake. The intake is probably worth $250 but you're also paying for a CARB setup. No hassle of having to remove it. Nice sound, small HP gain, and enhances the look of the engine bay not bad for a few hundred bucks. |
