Buying a Z4
Hi all,
I am a member of the neighbor F25 sub forum. I am looking into buying this car: 2004 3.0L automatic, 100k miles. Test drive on Saturday. I enjoy driving this car. Didn't observe any issues. There is crack on the center console plastic cover. I think it is normal for 18 years old car. Arrange for PPI. The car has 7 previous owners. This is a real concern. I hope the PPI result is fine. If so, I finally own a M54 inline six. |

Just know if you get it and it has steering issues, feels like binding, it's normal and an easy fix. I've owned an 03 roadster 2.5i and an 08 coupe 3.0si. Both fun cars, easy to work on as well. Only drive mine once every 2 or 3 weeks now but love it too much to get rid of it. Have 102k miles on mine and 145k when I sold the roadster. The auto box kinda sucks but I did find a tuning app out of Russia that made it light years better.

The steering fix can easily be done at a dealer or a good independent mechanic and is posted here:
