Coding novice in Gilbert, AZ

Hi Gang. I have followed the excellent instructions provided at https://www.zpost.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1627114 for how to do some coding. I have all the software installed and have the cable working.

I have to admit, I'm a little nervous about screwing something up. Anyone local that wants to give me a tutorial before I move forward? The airbag light on the dash won't go off. I installed the simulator and the error code is gone, just want the light off now. Pretty sure I can code it out, but worried I might do something wrong that leads to the top going up when I turn on the right turn signal...

If you are in the area and want to show me the ropes, let me know. Thanks.

Been working at this a few hours now and not a lot of progress. Tried INPA to read Airbag system but get errors that it can't read the script. I cleared error memory and the light is still on.

Tried NCS Expert/Dummy but not sure where to find the airbag module within the trace file.

The passenger seat occupancy mat is notorious for going out on these cars.

AFAIK, coding is not used to turn off an airbag light due to a previous fault, it's cleared with a scan tool (i.e. inpa, ista+ etc...)

Thanks, I was able to clear it with INPA. Found the error in memory for the b pillars.
