Today brought from Tekcarbon: Carbon Fiber Mirror Covers, and Carbon Fiber Rear Trunk Lip Spoiler.

The quality on these pieces look great! Have a few more things arriving next week...

Good to know - thanks for the feedback! Quality looks great on these. May wrap them in PPF regardless incase anything comes flying at me on the roads (Toronto is a construction nightmare these days).

Nice! I have that same one, at least it looks a lot like that. Mine is an OEM but designed for the E85. Where did you get the strut tower covers? P/Ns if you have them, please!

I just dumped almost a grand for a complete set of rotors and brake pads. My 2006 Z4 M Roadster has ~53,400 miles on it. I bought it in 2012 with ~32,000 miles, and I've never done them before, so these are probably the original brakes.

Since I have to remove the calipers and the caliper carriers I decided that I'm going to paint them. About 10 years ago I painted the calipers on my wife's 335is Coupe with this G2 High Temperature Brake Caliper Paint System:

I'm still a little undecided on what color, red or blue. I love red rotors but since my Roadster is Interlagos Blue, I think that's the way to go.

Strange they wouldn't get back to you. I had no interaction with them, the items were in stock, added them to my cart and just checked out thankfully!

I have something coming from out your way though - Carbon Fiber Front Spoiler from Schmiedmann. Should be arriving tomorrow

I bought the set complete on eBay. I do remember seeing the covers on eBay. Search for E46 M3 strut bar.

Looks like they come with the E46 strut bar, and it's these two parts, #51717895251 and #51717895252 in this diagram:
https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/sho...68#51717895251

I found those part #s at ECS Tuning for $12.40/ea., although they say that they will not fit the E85 Z4 M. I'll adapt them!

Thanks!

Ive mounted them also 1 month ago, they fit fine. Bought them directly from ta BMW dealer. although some people around here said there is to little room between the bar and the motor / fuelrail. It could potentionaly damage the motor mounts oid. So, i've taken the risk. Perhaps the comming 3 pointbar from Skyer is an perfect option in the near future.

They are glued in from underneath with a black silicone type of glue.

Carbon Fiber Front Spoiler from Schmiedmann arrived today.

Quality doesn't look nearly as good as the Tekcarbon items, but not horrible either. Will see how the fitment is when I install later this week.

My dog is starting to get annoyed with all these parts taking up space in the living room

I've been considering painting my Moupe's (Sapphire Black) calipers since I'll already have the wheels off to bleed the brakes and had already been planning to paint my N55 X1's (LeMans Blue) since they look pretty gross. Thanks for posting this! Sounds like you had good puck w/ the kit in the past and it seems like this will be a bit better than rattle cans.

Maybe I'll do blue for both.

That's cool, last I checked I didn't see any of that on their webite.
I think you got the last set of mirror caps too, shows 4-7 week backorder now.

Not exactly bought as much as fabricated.
Always thought the strut to firewall brace looked spindly, but served the purpose.
First effort looked a bit more beefy, served the purpose but not enough bling for me.
Wanted something a bit more beefy and along the lines of the Old Mustangs "export brace"
Hence when my employer ordered a new water jet table my mind started working.
Weighs less than 5# and serves the purpose.
There is no room for the OEM strut brace due to other paraphernalia so hoping maybe the wider beams add some triangulation strength.
In any case I love the look and cost me only the anodizing.

3rd iteration will be for a full flange around the strut tower.

When we had the 335is Coupe, it served as a track vehicle for both of us, so it did double duty for a few years. The caliper paint got chipped here and there due to us swapping wheels/tires for track events, but that was totally on us. The rest of the caliper looked just as good as it did when the paint was applied, it did not chip on its own, and it didn't fade or discolor, and that was on calipers that saw a lot of track use.

Here's a tip: The G2 system is a two-part epoxy paint that has to be mixed with a reactor. You have to have everything completely cleaned, degreased, sanded/wire-brushed, and masked off before you start. Once you start, you have to be prepared to paint all four calipers in one go. Once you pour the reactor into the paint can it will gradually start getting thicker so you need to move quickly and efficiently. Buy some extra brushes! It has a 4-6 hour set time so you'll still have plenty of time, but you want to complete the painting as soon as you can before it gets too thick. Good luck!

Someone on here got this steering wheel cover and it looked good so my thought was I would try it out… on my girlfriend's car. That way if it looks terrible my car will be completely unscathed!

Her Z4 has the Dream Red interior so I thought about black alcantara with red stitching. I won't install it myself but will have a local interior shop complete the installation for me.
