Interesting but trying to setup the car at the track will be more difficulty since you have to jack up the car every time. I was not aware you have to before.

Will try to download the manual from their site.

Thanks for the info.

the adjuster will be inside the wheel well and is actually easier to adjust as you just need to jack up the car, the rear tyres will drop down and you will have enough space to fiddle with it as it has the purple adjuster built in now. if you remove the wheel it will be even easier, much easier.

previously you have to jack up the car in all cases since it was impossible to get to the rear bump with the retarded tool.

This is a big breakthrough for Z4M Roadster people since with the old rebound adjustment method, you had to remove the roadster trunk trim permanently or you wouldn't be able to access this.
the trunk trim i am referring to is this: http://www.ecstuning.com/ES158304/

I contacted KW to get an explanation on why the front clubsport dampers don't have the new adjuster knobs built-in and they replied that this is the axle design and this is how the you get them.

Let me know if you have other concerns.

That's because the adjusters are exactly at 60mm and the KW springs are 61 mm.

if you grind down 1 mm, the 60 mm springs will fit easy.

Does anyone know what kind of top nut do i need for the KW clubsports?

as well as bump stop with dust covers.

Read through the thread and my head is spinning a little.

My shopping list so far is:

- RE RSM
- Rear RE Spring Alignment Perches (2.25/60mm)
- Rear RE Articulating perches (E46)

I'm basically getting rid of all Clubsport related items in rear.

Now I need springs. 550/650 sounds like something I would like based on this thread.

FRONT
Are the helper springs necessary? They seem unnecessary to me (but I know little).
What ID and length is needed (with/without helpers)?
tikamak says ID 60mm won't work without modification?
Where to buy?

REAR
pal suggests 5.5/60mm with the articulating perches. Confirm?
Where to buy?

I want low but not slammed. Lower than my H&R lowering springs.

Answers would be more helpful than reference links to other threads at this point.

Thanks

I considered this approach but ultimately sold my KW-CS and went with MCS.

I agree with the recommendation to use 5.5 rear springs.
Hyperco is the only one that I'm aware of that makes this size. Swift make 5 &6"
5.5 gives you that extra travel with less chance of coil bind at full compression.

You probably have enough space to keep the helpers up front with a 6" spring
However helpers don't do anything except keep everything from hanging loose when to lift the car.

On most COs all helpers do is limit height adjustment.
I ordered my MCS w/o helpers.

Where to buy Hypercoil or Swift springs? My searching just gives me their corporate site and catalogs with no online ordering.

Also tikamak says KW springs are 61mm and that a 60mm spring won't work (front) without modification. What ID are others using with their 3rd-party springs?

Vorschlag handles both.
I'm sure there are lots of other sources as well.

I used vorshlag camber plates with swift springs and those fit normal.
If you want to use the KW camber plates that come with the KW CS kit you need to get 61mm springs or grind down the camber plate perch a little to have a snug fit, it's not a big problem, you can do it with some sand paper.

For the spring lengths, I went with 6inch 600 springs in the rear and that was a big mistake because i cannot lower anymore but it's not a problem for me since i like the car's balance. No perch was used in the rear.

In the front i went with 7 inch 500 springs

What springs do you think JRZ use?

Hyperco

I installed following combination:

KW3 Damper
Eibach 60mm I.D. / 140 mm (5,5 ") / 110 N/mm (~625 lbs)
upper original KW hight adapters 61mm
lower alignment perches 2,5"

installation without problems, with the 5,5" you can adjust the hight of the rear to a good level - and there is enough tension to hold the spring in position even when unloaded.

I am not sure if you can get problem when you have a full unload e.g. a jump ... but I think its not possible that the spring can get in a bad position ...

thx

PS: performance tests will follow ....

Hello,

Does anyone in this thread actually have the Rogue Articulating Spring Perches or Ground Control versions fitted?

I am about to order the springs and unsure what length to get.

The recommended 5.5" would seem too long from my research.

I am thinking that a 4" spring with these would be better to enable sufficient adjustment.

Thanks, I am leaning towards a 5" spring now.

Whereabouts is your adjuster set with a 5" spring, all the way up, middle or bottom?

What size rear tire are you running and how much of a tire to fender gap do you have?

Are you running helper springs? At full droop, I measure 7.5" so if I went with a 5" spring I am sure I would need helpers to stop them flopping around when jacked up.

I'm running 275/30/19's which are 0.5" lower than the stock ride height and am chasing a tire to fender gap of about 0.5"~0.75". in the rear

Don't want to be slammed but a nice lowered look is what I need.

I’d say the adjuster is near the middle. I’m running a 265/35/18 on a 18x10.5 +22.. about -2.5 degrees of rear camber with rolled fenders. There’s not really any gap in the rear, it’s pretty flush. About 13” from the center of the wheel to the fender lip.

No helpers, but I don’t need them with my setup.

Thank you, that sounds right.

I am running 14" from wheel centre to fender lip. Want to be about 13.5"

What spring rates are you on?

I have been told that spring rate makes a big difference to ride height. Someone said going from a 400lb to 500lb spring they needed a shorter spring.

I'm planing to use 500lb springs in the rear.
