Code P1632?

Anyone know what this code means? The car keeps stalling out randomly. Fuel level and voltage seem ok. 12.2v stationary 14.3 or so when running

I've had the throttle position sensors go bad on me before, but they throw a different code and go into limp mode. I'm not going into limp mode.

Does the camshaft sensor throw this code?

Odd thing happened. The car had trouble starting this morning on a full battery and a new alternator, new fuel pump and filter. It cranked fine, but took me 5 times to get it going...

No check engine light.

I wish I knew if I needed a new throttle position sensor, crank sensor, or one of the 2 cam sensors...

Is there a way to check voltage on my sensors? I don't know how, or what to look for

That's just the kind of thing I would use INPA for.
Look for something that has the adaptation in the red.

For as much work as you do on your ride, you really need your own.
Get a Chinese GT1 knockoff. It really lets you get into the car's head and see what's going on.
Cost me $42 bucks. Would have been a heck of a bargain at $100.

If i'm going to invest money into a beyond basic reader, i'd want it to have excellent functionality like the ability to code headlights

Here's a link to my thread, but it's probably a bit dated.
Installation was a bit of a chore. I hear many are now offering one-click installation.
I'm sure somebody else can chime in here with a good suggestion for a one-click install package.
All the actual software is about the same. INPA, DIS, and Progman are the basic suite.
You do need a laptop, but not a very good one. The software is set up for Windows XP.

Dude ... it's under $100.
I considered it paid for as soon as I changed my lane-change turn signals from 1 to 3 flashes.

And yes, Merry Christmas!

When you get it installed and run the DME module for the first time in INPA, make sure it's MSS70 v 2.01 or later.

ZStig, this seems like the same type of problem I've been experiencing. Please let us know what fixes it! My code was P1633, which seems too close to ignore...

A Google search says "Throttle Valve Adaptation".
Maybe you're lucky and the new throttle position sensor fixed the problem, but now the adaptation is way off because it had adapted to the old frazzed one.

Whenever you replace a part that can affect an adaptation, you should clear the adaptation and let it get a fresh start. Either INPA or DIS can do that.

It will eventually re-adapt, and the code should go away on its own.

But I didn't replace the throttle position sensor, I replaced the crankshaft position sensor because the car was cranking but not starting sometimes.

The throttle position sensor normally throws me into limp mode and gives a specific error

I tried cycling the key for 15 seconds, thinking that it would reset the throttle adaptation and no go

Guys get any updates?

I installed AA headers and I am getting some similar codes
P1633
P114B
P2198
P2270
P0174
P0430

Honestly can changing to headers really do this much to the Sensors?
This is Maddening..
