Garage List
One of my favorite wheels. Had them on my old coupe, really noticed the weight savings over the stickers.

Great rims and color!
Are the tire's sidewall white letters factory or did you apply these?

Agreed w/3002tii....I love my OZ Ultraleggeras....they are crazy light and strong and look as good as the day they were installed ten years ago.

Tell us about the process - was it freehand applied? What material did you apply for the white lettering?

It's the generic white lettering pen from any auto parts store. So I when I applied it I focus on making sure the edges and the in between where filled. After that it was onto q-tips and acetone for detailing. Honestly, I'd give it a 7/10. Extremely tedious and time consuming. Each wheel took 2-3 hours to white letter.

I only did one layer, but if I was up to it, I would do another. It says you can, but I was hurting too much doing it. Literally. Can't see it, but there is a light white hue to the face of the tire that I'm hoping will wear off eventually.

If I was to do it again, I would try to find a company that can make them for the tire. I looked, but Firestone was not a popular choice. Tape. I would tape off a lot because I ended up getting it everywhere. By the time I was onto the last tire however, I think I was able to complete it in 1 hour. Firestone made the lettering with little grooves in them, almost like they wanted people to color them in.

But yea, if you can get the vinyl lettering for your tires, do that.

Yea...I got them for $200. Straightened at a shop for another $400. Then a slight crack repaired properly. Then I dremelled the access aluminum stuff that the guy told to. Spraying them $40 in spray paint or so. $20 for the white letter stuff.

So just the wheels $640. With tires around $1300. Not a bad deal considering wheels alone are $400.
