Question $370 to paint the interior trim?

Is $370 a decent price to professionally paint the interior trim in piano black finish? The cost includes sanding/prepping the 3-piece wood trim, but I would be responsible for disassembling and reinstalling the trim pieces.

I didn't expect it to cost this much. I may try wrapping the trim with CF fabric first and then resort to painting if I do a crappy job (or if the fabric doesn't hold up well long-term).

i'm thinking a couple of zposters have done this exact thing - piano black refinishing of the interior trim - might try asking them for their experiences? think roffle waffle is one of them....

Might be worth it if it's guaranteed to be a good paint job. Then again, if you're pretty handy and have the time, it might be worth your while to do it yourself. $370 can buy you paint, primer, electric sander and leave you with some leftover money.

I paid $480 but they did the door handles as well.

Sterling Collision In Tustin. Known to be a bit pricey.

I paid ~$800 IIRC, and they did a great job matching the quality of my OEM piece. The materials themselves (PPG paint) cost more than $370. I think thats a great price, but make sure they wetsand it, and tell them you expect it to come out smooth as glass, with zero orange peel

$370 vs labor rate

Consider the labor rate to remove, sand (2x?) and paint(2x)... That's probably four-six of labor at what...$80 per hour? Plus materials ... So yeah that's a bargain. Tip him $20 for lunch.
