FS: Bimmerworld RSM 10mm Spherical Rear Shock Mounts
$125.00 Including Shipping, $159.99 List Price Item is NEW, still in factory packaging. Rear Shock Mounts (RSM), Bimmerworld - E30, E36, E46, Z3, Z4 (10mm) Aluminum shock mounts with aircraft-quality bearings for precision shock control. Special Application Notes: for shocks with 10mm stem (nearly all factory-style shocks and KW shocks.) If you have a high-quality performance shock on your car, but you are using rubber or even urethane or upgraded rear shock mounts, you aren't getting what you paid for. Our Racing Spherical Rear Mounts allow your dampers to precisely control all suspension movement versus typical performance rear shock mounts that allow approximately 1/2" of uncontrolled movement as the upper shaft mount flexes and moves. Average road surface imperfection rate of change means you are giving up a lot of control and potential grip with lesser mounts. You paid good money for those shocks - put them to work with proper mounts! Our Spherical Rear Mounts have a precision Aurora bearing installed in our billet aluminum carrier. The bearing and spacers are sized for a 10mm shock shaft - the most common for BMW, Bilstein, KONI, and other shocks (see additional info below). The aluminum mount is also slotted to allow for additional tire clearance if needed. The included stainless steel reinforcement plate also makes one-person installation a breeze. Fits all E30, E36, E46, Z3, and Z4 BMWs. Some convertibles will have to mount the reinforcement plate underneath depending on clearance. Shock Shaft Note: Most non-adjustable shocks will have a 10mm shaft diameter including OE, Bilstein, KONI non-adjustable. Most adjustable shocks will use a 12mm mount including MCS, KONI Sport, JRZ, etc. This mount is also available with a 12mm bearing (see additional products below). Gaskets are not included but are recommended. |

Will these allow you to mount shocks from underneath in the future like the RE ones?

Yes, the half moon piece remains on the top of the shock tower inside the trunk. The 2 bolts are welded to the half moon collar and will remain in position after you remove the 2 nuts on the bottom of the mount. This drops the shock down allowing you to remove the nut on the top of the shock without having to go into the trunk. I typically will tape the half moon with gorilla duct tape to further keep the half ring in place inside the trunk. Hope this answers your question.
