z4 dash removal?
Hi guys,
About to remove my dash for some ... *cough*... changes. anyone here have and detailed info on how to go about that without having to pull the windscreen glass? Ima looking at you Chris

resurrecting an old thread...
Any one have any further input on how to remove the entire dash? I just did this on my E46 M3 and was pretty easy...just a lot of screws. thanks, Rob |

nah its pretty easy actually.. start with the easy bits, Thaco, cup holders , radio, center airco exhaust, etc, then the dash skins/covers, glovebox and then just go slowly.. depending on how hot your environment has been, you can expect a lot of tabs to snap..
Ill assume youve already removed your steering wheel and airbag? (make SURE BATT IS REMOVED FROM POWER!!!) Just go slow mate, and bag/label the screws/bolts.. there will be a few of them.. sorry i havent got any pics, when i did it, it seemed daunting at first, but its very straight forwards..
