It's not simple to construct low-run performance parts by hand and get consistent output unless the jigs are of a very high quality, and substantial time is invested in both design and manufacturing to ensure that the parts will fit appropriately - especially when large temperature swings are involved.

Anyway, just one person's opinion, but "you get what you pay for" is often true.
The headers you have are NOT the same as the Megan racing ones. I attached an image below of what you're comparing. Welds are different and the flange appears to be different as well. I read every post that goes into this thread on m3fourm about these headers and not one person has had an issue with the headers leaking due to improper fitment.

Any skeptical people feel free to go through every post on this thread http://www.m3forum.net/m3forum/showt...5&page=110

Until someone actually has an issue with these specific Megan headers leaking there's no evidence that these headers have issues. Lots of guys are tracking their m3's regularly with these on m3forum.

installed mine with OEM hardware today. Perfect fit. No CEL...yet. Im running DKF section 1 with resonators, stock x pipe and RPi mufflers. Fumes are quite strong though, might consider putting 100cell cats in. No tune yet...but car feels like it revs more freely than before from 3-5k rpm..very happy with the purchase.

I can confirm these fit with no issues. What a great bang for your buck

However got massive drone now with top closed. Thankfully it's almost always down. Top down is awesome and no problems. Kinda wanna go louder but can't tolerate any more drone with top closed lol

Other than headers, is the rest of your exhaust stock?

That explains it, changing section 3 (mufflers) will cause the most drastic changes in tone and induce drone from my experience. Just headers alone shouldn't have any drone.

Stromungs are not even aggressive mufflers though. So what you're saying is there's no way to go loud without drone? loll

With my experience on the roadster, changing the stock mufflers will usually have some sort of drone/resonance. I know a few of the mufflers are pretty tame and usually won't cause any drastic difference, but adding a cat less setup will increase rasp and overall loudness.

Looks like these aren't available anymore at that $250 price? Can't seem to find them on Megan's website. The links in the op don't work anymore. And eBay has them starting at around $1000. Hmmm. Maybe this ship has sailed!

Anyone know what the outlet diameters are for these headers? Would like to go 2.5" duals all the way back, but pretty sure that since these bolt up to stock section 1 they must be smaller than that.

Im selling some in the classifieds with ceramic coating and O2 minicats if anyone is interested.
They fit the Z4M without a problem.

Just wanted to bump this thread with my recent experience. I bought a set of these off ebay for $360. Not quite the deal they were before obviously but still worth it. The welds were excellent. No holes, gaps, cracks, or anything of the sort. They bolted up easily and fit perfectly with plenty of clearance for the FCAB. I used BMW gaskets for everything although the Megan ones looked decent and likely would have been fine. If anyone is thinking about picking these up, I would recommend it!

I put a set of these on my Z4M a year ago.

Fit flawless, EGT is a little out of place so I couldn't put it back in the OEM slots for wiring under the beauty cover of the S54.

Otherwise, fit great, sound great, no cracks or anything.
