Differences US Spec to EURO Spec M Coupe
I did a lot of reading about the differences of the two cars aside of the 330HP vs. 343HP discussion. I found the following:
- Left and Right Header (because of lower emission) - Second Cat (Rmfd-exhaust pipe catalyst) (to accommodate header cats) - ECU engine software difference (to coop with lower octane fuel in the US) Can you confirm the above and is there anythin else? Also does someone know what the difference in the second cat is? If I'd change the headers to EURO spec inlcuding software would the emission get worse as only one cat does all the work in thte EURO spec car? I'm thinking about importing a US Spec 2006 M Coupe. If I have to change all the above then the car gets a lot more expensive (around 4000$) and would no longer be interesting to import. |

Go to Turner Motorsports. They have the complete Euro system for around $4100. I priced it out here in Germany. The cost here is 750 euros per header, you need two plus 1600 euro for the CAT. 3100 euro. This includes tax and you also have to give them another 50 euro per Header to keep your US ones. At todays rate. $100 = 75 Euro it would cost you just over $4000 or the same price as buying it direct from Turner Motorsprts.
