It's top of the list, I would just prefer something a little thinner... I'm lowered and ground clearance is at a premium.

I guess I'm interested, but the diffusor would have to come first before the side mirrors lol

Hey Ross,

I know I know I know.

Get thrown a curve ball on the design. V1 diffuser design is done. Waiting for V2 to be completed so you guys can vote.

I personally preferred the V2 design but what I want doesn't count. It's what you guys want!

Is the tekacarbon ones molded from carbon fiber and not an overlay? I have them on backorder from the company, the cost is coming out less than this group buy so I'm wondering which is a better deal.

I am on the fence on this.

Btw @ZedD4Mr, how is aero style side rocket panel project? Is there a direct fit "sturdy fiberglass" option for the coupe?

I haven't seen the tekacarbon ones so I can't comment.

From experience, it's probably an overlay since the screw holes are very tiny to hold the mirror motors and it is simply impossible (cost & time wise) to make CF that way.

To make housing with that kind of precision (inner vertical cylinder to accept tiny screws), unless one is to make ten's of thousands of them, it's simply not economical.

The OE housing might used to be cheap.

Buy them in bulk, do overlay and sell them could work.

As our chassis, get older, OE parts are less and less available everyday.

At $100 a of pair now (last time I checked), and that's whatever stock is left in the world, it's simply not a feasible model.

We are working on it.. It'll be fiberglass. (unless some wants Carbon Fiber)

Fitment will be spot on like all our products but plug n play will be a tall order.. different mounting method will be needed most likely.

If there's enough demand on the Aero side skirt in this manner, we will make it a priority..

I have the Tekarbon mirrors. They are definitely OEM mirros with an overlay. Pretty decent quality. No issues with the weave, good coloring. I wish the clear coat was done better, but you really cant tell unless you are on top of it. I was on their backorder for quite a while. We (z4 people) do not take a priority at all. Like... it may never happen. So, to summarize, while I'm happy with my Tekarbon caps, and plenty happy enough not to replace, the quality of the existing Skyer products I have is better than my mirrors.

Greetings ZeD4Mr
I purchased the Tekarbon CF overlay side mirrors in early 2012 and they still look like new.

A note of caution; ensure the interior dimension of the OEM side mirror housing is not changed much, as the clearance between the edge of the mirror and the housing is already very tight; my Tekarbon CF side mirrors overlap the edge of the mirror housing (as they should) to cover appropriately, but this caused a MINOR clearance issue due to the mirror touching the CF overlay; the mirrors still adjust ok but touch in certain spots.
