Hey Guys,
How are the light holding up? Are they still sticking to the car?

The strip that I originally installed way back in November 2012, a few months after I got my car, is still sticking just fine!

About four years ago there was a couple of months that I daily drove the car and had to park it in full sun in the summer in a very hot area of the county and the lights fell down a couple of times during that period, but it was probably well over 100* in the trunk. I stuck the strip back up and it's been there ever since.

The car was garaged until two years ago when I took redelivery of my M4. Now it sits out in the driveway, usually under a car cover. It was over 100* again for several days last week, and we had periods like this every year, but the strip has not come down again.

I'm amazed how long this thread has stuck around, almost six years, and I'm pleased that so many other owners have discovered how to easy and inexpensive it is to vastly improve the lighting in the trunk. I also appreciate the improvements that others have made to my original installation with different color temperatures and connectors. And I certainly appreciate the positive feedback that it has generated.

Mine are sticking just fine, but after about 4 years a few of the LEDs are out.
Still plenty left to light the way.

I love this mod, so much better than the stock lighting. You never really know how bad the stock lighting is...until it's pitch black outside. I really wish I knew how to curse in German.

The original peel and stick never held well on mine. Some double-sided 3M tape from Home Depot fixed it a few years back. Still going strong. Truly a great, simple mod.
