Retrofitting seat heater to Sparco race seat

My Z4M Roadster is my daily driver, including through the winter, and regularly used for track days through the summer.

I installed a Sparco QRT Performance race seat and 6 point harness on the driver side only, losing the seat heater in the process. I miss the seat heater during my top down drives on sunny fall days!


I want to purchase a seat heater element and put that into my Sparco seat. If I understand this Real OEM diagram, I need two of this part.

Is that correct that I need two of those heating elements for just a single seat? Or is that 2 elements forr both seats?

When I look at this picture, it loks like I only need to order one of them.

Can I put that part directly on the fiberglass shell of the Sparco seat?

Or do I need to wrap it in something and not sit it directly on the fiberglass shell?
