These are for an M or an SI?
I have an 3.0si but theycould probably fit an M Roadster or Coupe.
Thanks!! I have an SI as well.

Is there a manufacturer and part number?
I don't have one. Let me see if I can get a brand name and part number.

Well, it has been busy shopping Christmas this 2021

Here is what I have gotten

- E46 M3 CSL front ARB
- the necessary hardware for the ARB
- Racing diffs rebuild kit (advanced set)
- Severn tuning Alpha-N custom tune

Next year I may do rod bearings and change spring rates (again)

So, the Skyer Time Attack Spoiler arrived today. When I purchased one from the initial ten last month the lead time said 8-10 weeks. It was just barely under a month.

That is impressive considering all of the manufacturing and shipping problems. I don't know when I will get it installed but hopefully soon. And the carbon fiber looks good.

Would you mind sharing the details and spec ?

I am debating about reverting exhaust back to stock and the tips is my main issue, well that and that I would need an x-pipe

My best setup to date has been euro headers, dfk section 1 with 300 cel cats, ss x-pipe and OE mufflers. It was deep tone and no rasp and let the CSL intake be heard in full…

I have had several combos and all are just to loud and we all know the exhaust sound of the S54 is not very nice.

My setup is now Euro headers, DKF 200 cell HFC, stock x-pipe and mufflers. The exhaust is now super quiet, pretty much stock. The only time you "hear" anything is above 4k and it's all motor noise coming from headers but not much going on behind you. I miss the throatiness of the SS cans but maybe this is what you're looking for….?

Re tips, I asked a fellow from Z4-forum (handle "machine monkey") who produced a bunch of custom SS tips for Z4 owners across the pond. They can be slipped over stock or riveted/welded by removing the stock tips. I chose the latter.

The workmanship is good but not sure if Z4 mufflers have different specs in UK as the tips were a tad big (i.e. very little to no spacing between each tip, see 2nd pic above but they're practically touching). I don't mind it, but something worth calling out.

Lastly, I had to grind out few thousandth of an inch on the inner diameter. It's a super tight fit and perhaps intentional but it required me to use a mallet and wood to force them on. That said I'm still very happy with them. I will post more pics after I get the muffler re-aligned.

PS - I didn’t even know DKF offered 300 cell, thought it was 100 or 200 only.

Well, I think you are right. I have both sets of CATS, i have on the “less flowy 200” as the less restrictive smelled very badly. Even the 200 kind of smell much when cold. My mom has told me, are you sure there is not something wrong with your car? Smells like an old car!!! :P. This is when you realized something is significant 😂

The next test for me is put the US section 1 with secondary cats as those cans are much larger and could tame sound a bit. And maybe they will smell less being an OE part, though I think they are 200cpi too, or maybe 400, who knows.

Pls post photos one you have them 👍

Between your suspension woes and exhaust, maybe you should just go back to all stock lol

Edit - actually realized what I have now are the 100 cell. I have both as well and ultimately settled on the 100s. With factory mufflers back on, I smell way less fumes.

Here are pics by the way, custom tips on blacked out oe mufflers

Thank you for your support and patience.

Some parts can get made pretty quickly but waiting for other parts to arrive.

In this particular case, we got lucky and shipped out ahead of the plan.

..and yes, shipping nowadays are a PITA.

many thanks for your kind word.

Better shot of the new tips on the stock mufflers. Left side still needs to be adjusted ever so slightly.

My PVC on the 3.0si seemed to be on its way out but didn't feel like changing the valve cover gasket so soon after last time. You can chisel the cap on the valve cover off and seal this one on instead. Saved me about $500 and a heck of a lot of time. Works absolutely perfect, like a different car. To seal I used one min gasket in the squirt tube can (like a whipped cream tip) and JB Weld black epoxy. Would never know. I did take the intake manifold, throttle body, and other stuff off to clean. Was needed for sure. Also put a new starter on while I was in there.

Winter project
Brakes for all four corners ordered from German Parts in Toronto. I found them to be less expensive than the same equipment from south of the border. All shipping costs to my door were only $22 CDN.

Before I ordered I asked them f they had any discounts running at that time. They sent me a one time promo code for a 10% discount.

All totalled up, $300 less than the closest supplier in the states, before adding the duties and brokerage fees.
