Recaro Seat, Brey Krause Mounts - OEM Manual Rail or floor?
Done a lot of digging over the past year or so with my aging seats, planning to yank those out and store them in the basement.
Looking to install a set of Recaro Pole Position (NG, ABE, or similar) seats using the Brey Krause side mounts to the OEM rail setup. It seems this is the most clear-cut way to center seats and avoid contact with the trans tunnel or door card? My car has power seats, thinking I will look for a used BMW manual slider setup to install - any part numbers to search? My preference would be to mount straight to the floor with BK - hard to tell if clearance will be an issue. Last edited by 86Zed; 07-20-2022 at 10:06 AM.. |

Brey Krause seat mounts form, function, and fitment are excellent! I have a Recaro Pole Position and it doesn’t interfere with the door panel or the center console. No regrets here! No experience with the oem manual slider, I have the power seats with the E30 window switch button installed

I have 2 Recaro PP's mounted directly to the floor on my Z4MC with BK mounts. Going on 2.5 years with zero issues.
Best modification I've made to any car, fwiw. |

The seatbelt receptacle is a bit tight on the inside opening in the seat but not enough to ever really be an issue. I'm 6'2" and 200lbs and fit perfectly in the PP's, still allowing room to buckle the belt. But if you're slimmer it would be a non-issue. PP's in this car completely changed the driving experience. I also have a JDM Integra Type R with the factory Recaro seats and now don't think I would have a performance/sports car without seats like these. Feel free to reach out with any questions as you go. |

100% agree exactly with SLC801 , 6’0 and 220 lbs, Recaro pole position and Brey Krause mounts all day! Ive also had a Black Recaro SPG XL that fit with no issues but sold it to get a custom race red leather Pole Position to match closer to the Imola interior. 6’ 220 lbs here. Pole Positions for daily driving/track IMO is less tiresome compared to the SPG XL due to the less aggressive bolsters on the hips/shoulder that have far better bolstering than the M seats
