Question for Soft Top Owners
I found a local soft top assembly for sale off a low mileage Z. Are these white markings areas where the fabric is thinning due to the metal folding assembly? Or is this dirt that needs to be cleaned off? And if it is thinning, is that just unavoidable?

Ultimately unavoidable. The discoloration when I use soft top fabric cleaner has always gone away and looks nice and black just like it should but you still see the wear areas, just due to hard material under soft fabric. Pending on how worn at those points the fabric is will really decide just how visible after cleaned.

I have the same "impressions"… which is due to the hard surface underneath it. No thinning is evident…. It's more of a minor "compression" type impression.
