This might be helpful

I had my software installed but it was incorrect. This video helped me and it might help others too.

Can someone explain what "loudness from E86 to E85" means?

I believe it provides some extra volume boost since the vert has all that fabric in the top which absorb the sound. At least that's my story. I've had my E86 set to E85 forever.

Alright, thank you. Just had a guy code my amber DRLs off and why I was interested in the coding. Will post pictures soon.

Not sure why had a guy code it and you aren't doing the coding yourself since that's what this thread is about

So I finally decided to take a crack at coding, and was able to enable some neat features on my Z4M successfully. However, the main reason I decided to attempt this finally is my OC3 mat has kicked the bucket, and I was informed BMW will not cover replacement (my build is 05/2006).

After a lot of online browsing, I thought I found all the options to adjust, but am still coming up with the error 93C3. After updating the coding using NCSEXPERT, it corrects the error for about a minute then triggers again. Any ideas? Here is what I am showing coding wise, OC3 mat is unplugged

ABG module
Seat Occupancy Detection (SBE1) - nicht_activ
Seat Occupancy Detection (OC3) - nicht_activ
Delay Seat Occupancy Detection - nicht_activ
Passenger Seat Belt Warning Sensor - nicht_activ
Passenger Seat Belt Warning - nicht_activ
Gk/OC3/POL_1 - nicht_activ

I clearly am missing something. Any thoughts?

Once you export to man file and sg_coderein for the seat it should throw an error. Check with inpa and see what it says.

Did you ever figure this out? I would like to try and code out OC3 mat as well.

Where could I find a description of the module and ecu abbreviations used for coding? I want to do a couple things such as change the RPM of the engine at startup, comfort closing, etc. but not sure which ECU/Module to select based on the short abbreviations in the NCSExpert/Dummy programs.

I did find a video online that had a walkthrough of the abbreviations and took screen shots. So this gives me module names. Still looking for ECU descriptions.

Hi there!
I'm a newbie to the forum and quite a newbie to the E85 platform but I love it!
Since I own the USDM car I have to perform some modifications to legalize it in the EU. The main concern now is the rear fog lights (tail lights are replaced with EU ones, front - with halo aftermarket).
I have the light switch module with the front fog light button only. I know it is used as the backup storage for various car data so not plug-and-play replaceable. Has someone tried to replace the light switch module and reprogram it using the manual from the thread? I assume the data from the original module should be written to the new one and the main ECU should be programmed to recognize the rear fog light option. Do I have to rewire/add some wire in addition to the reprogramming?
Any hints would be greatly appreciated!

I have enabled rear fogs on my Z4M. Search, I made a thread on it. But you need to source an EU switch and swap the faceplate.
