Nothing from the roof swap, which I was worried about (more from removing the relevant trim pieces needed to do the work, and them not going back the same way).

The only rattle I've had on the car is from the engine brace beams, which were creaking/rattling, but the dealer fixed this at the first oil service...

Yes, that is what I was wondering, from removing all the trim and then getting it back squeak free. Glad it worked out.

-ROFL! No. The weight savings from the TCK roof section is 8lbs.

Really? According to an earlier post in this thread, the carbon panel weighs ~8 lbs. The steel roof panel only weighs ~16 lbs? That's pretty light, even if it is non-structural...

-I double-checked. The steel roof weighs 17.48lbs, TCK's is 8.00lbs, so the weight savings is 9.48lbs.

Btw sixspeed, your car looks awesome with the new roof! Even better than I expected. I can't wait for mine to arrive :rocks:

Thanks for follwoing up on that; amazing it's that light in steel. Heck, the hardtop for the roadster is 3 times heavier!

Should look wicked on your car as well. Though I'd have a black Z4MC if I got one, I'd skip this as there'd be no contrast to highlight it; though sometimes stealthy is fun too.

The hardtop for the roadster has support structure, sound proofing, interior lining, glass window, etc. All of that is already in the coupe, all you are removing and replacing with Carbon fiber is a thin layer of rolled steel.
