Passing Emissions with ESS Supercharger kit G1

My emissions are due and have to get the car to somewhat of a stock setting. So far I have the stock injectors, stock tune, and the yellow wire to the maf sensor soldered. However, my SES comes on with error code p1424 saying air flow is too high. Is this due to the supercharger blowing too much air even at idle? The pipes seem to be good and clamped tight, breather hoses are not loose etc. Folks at ESS actually took in my vehicle and verified install. This was two months ago.

Once the maf does its "check" on engine start, the rpm kind of searches just above 500. After 20 seconds the SES comes on and the car idles and drives fine. Though if I were to drive before those 20 seconds the car kind of hesitates below 2k rpm.

I swapped out the maf thinking it was dirty or worn but the problem persists. Should I also swap back to my stock belt without the supercharger pulley connected? Just would like to know those who are also running this kit, how they pass emissions?

you will need to remove the supercharger. return everything to stock or stock like or it wont even pass visual, here in california at least.
if it were not for the kit being non carb legal for the n52, i would have got the kit.

Here in AZ they don't do visual checks fortunately. Just monitor readiness. I'll give the stock NA belt a go to see if the error goes away.

you would still want to remove it, good chance its running lean, i dont think the ecu can compensate for positive pressure in the intake.

Why don't you get the ECU tuned correctly so emissions are never an issue?

Yeah new codes popped up P0175 and P0172. Going to have to throw cold air intake in.

The tune provided by AJ from ESS does not have emission readiness or something to that effect. I've emailed him back and forth regarding emissions but he's never mentioned an emission friendly tune.

Check my sig below for the guy to contact for tuning.

AJ is good at what he does but tuning is not ESS strength IMO.
