A few interior photos

Just a couple pics of my coupe's refreshed interior. I wrapped the dash, replaced the steering wheel with the M-sport wheel (which is AMAZING), and then bought an illuminated shifter from Bimmian. I replaced the trim around the shifter with the trim from a manual-equipped z4, and bought a leather shift boot for a manual to eliminate having dual gear selector lights.

NB: not my photo, but you get the idea

How did you update the shifter to the newer version?

Not updated, just looks like it. Found it on Bimmian and thought it might be a cool addition. It looks like the newer version but functions like the stock one.

The new shifter is very interesting - got any more detailed photos of it? Also, how do you connect it so that it has electrical power to illuminate?

Car looks great!!

Thanks! Here's a link to the shifter, with some quality pics: http://www.bimmian.com/USK/Z4

I think it's of reasonable quality. I expect it to last a long time. The shifter comes with an adapter cable that connects to the cable that lights up the console gear selector lights. It comes with a pass through that will allow both the shifter and the gear selector lights on the console to function, but since I replaced the leather boot and the shifter trim with those used in the manual version, I just left the pass through unplugged. No error lights, no issues with function

Edit: evening photo of shifter

Yup, 3M 1080 carbon fiber vinyl. It looks and feels great. Came out much better than I expected and I've never wrapped anything before.
