I didn't see any sort of ducting to help out the OEM scoop which is how I formulated my idea. Of course if you dont believe me you can always take a peak yourself.

As far as the scoop design goes, I'm not the one designing/making the scoops, RPI is and if they are able to pull out 8.5 WHP with a drop in filter and the scoop, it could have spikes coming off of it and be bright pink I'm pretty sure all of us would still get it. If you feel a rounded design would be better dont purchase the product and start fabricating your own scoop. When you're done and you produce more WHP gain the attention would surely be shifted over to you.
I was just offering my opinion bro...I'm not saying there product isn't good, but there is always room for improvement

As far as the OE is concerned...I guess I'd have to take a look at it, maybe if I see my car this weekend i'll poke my around there

BBP2345,

I will talk to Eloy at RPI in regards to being fitted for Non M's. I don't believe it will be a problem though to ship it to TX, where you at... I will see him this Saturday so will ask in further details and get back to you...

Thanks let me know of anything that he tells you. I'm located in DEEP DEEP south TX...5 min away from the border. But I'm very interested, if possible, we can get a group buy started for non-M's if theres any minor changes. Keep me posted. THX.

I know you weren't, I just didn't want any confusion regarding RPI's scoop cause I've personally seen the OEM scoop and you'd probably scoff if you saw it as well. Of course there is always room for improvement; but, it's up to the manufacturer to decide when they want to market it.

What about in comparison to the Dinan ram air scoop design?
Although that option is more than twice the price.

Hi guys,

Sorry for the late replies. I know a lot of you must have a lot of questions. The price for the scoop is $125 or $210 for the kit (scoop + filter). Laidback has asked for groupbuy pricing and I am doing my best to see what I can do in this matter. Most of you know that we hand make them here to ensure fitment, performance and quality. As part of RPi's commitment to our customers, value is very important. Setting the right/fair price for a product has always been a priority so none of our retail prices will be far fetched like some of the products from other manufacturers. Because of that, it is not common for us to give out "introductory prices" or "group buys". Discounts for those types of sales are minimal at best. We feel that the work we put behind our products, in your case, ram air @ 8whp+ for $125, is an awesome value without any type of sales of gb.

I have two sets of ram air intakes to show those who come to our Open House today. Please dont ask to buy them as they are already sold .

With that, I will continue to work with you guys......and laidback.......on giving you guys a great product at a great value.

Yes... I'm sure RPI will do the same for the Z4's and currently Eloi is expanding the scoops to all current BMW's and doing the same RandD he did for the Mcars...

The grp buy price is $125 for just the scoop or $210 for the kit (scoop + BMC filter) and i'm trying to ask Eloy to give us free shipping or discount for the shipping for those who needs their scoops to be shipped...

That would be nice. I would love to see a dyno of a 07 coupe with the scoop. i would like to hear from RPI what is in the works. Anyone think the same results are possible with the 07SI?

I'm just looking for a place to buy them on the website and I don't see it yet.

More importantly, we were talking about how they should be interchangeable with the 3.0, but then there was mention of a separate scoop for the 3.0. Is there an intake measurement so I can see if it will fit ahead of time?
