Decreased positive offset - aftermarket wheels

I am buying aftermarket wheels (18" staggered setup) and the wheels I am looking at are 7mm and 15mm less positive offset than OEM (front and back, respectively) which will result in the wheels sitting a small amount more outwards than OEM.

Are these within an acceptable range?

Thanks

I guess it'd depend on which oem wheels you have. Plug in your info here https://www.1010tires.com/Tools/Wheel-Offset-Calculator all else fails use a tape measure to your oem wheels to the car to see how/where new puts it on the car.

Thanks.

What affects whether a wheel sticks out more than an OEM wheel? Width or offset?

Both.

If it's wider, but same offset, then you add half the extra width on each side of the centre-line.

If it's bigger offset, but same width, then you add the extra offset on a single side of the centre-line.

If it's wider AND bigger offset, then you have two lots of extra to add.

...of course, don't forget to factor in the tyre you're putting on, as some (of the same published size) are wider/taller/narrower/smaller than others.
