yeah, suprised me too, and very easy to fit, all the holes (well most) are pre-divit-ed. so all you do is drill a hole for the bolt. (out of the 30 or so holes ive drilled only 3 have been slightly off) fingers crossed though, its only the left hand side so far...

fender liners... there is, ill be modifying the original oem ones to make something fit, I dont know exactly how that will work yet, but it looks do-able. most likely ill be cutting the lip off about 2 or 3 inches inwards along the longitudinal and thus having a 2 part fender liner. The very back towards the body of the car and in the lip.

really enjoying working on this stuff.

Panel #5 is on.

And the fuel breather . Note the newly painted section where they blew through with the mig and nearly blew the car up.

Had a nice day yesterday completing the rear end fit of the kit. Took me the whole day, but got it PERFECT!!

And then the inspection team came.

Then spent the evening finalizing parts for my rear coilover conversion.

Great work!!!!!

You may find the need to experiment with those rear spring rates.
With the coilover moving outwards compared to the OE location, there is greater mechanical advantage.
You may find that the rear springs will need a softer rate to compensate.

Lol thanks, not sure how you figure getting a huge cutter to my car labels as being "fun", but i get your drift. lol.. wish i had something more to go on rather than just one picture for the rear sub frame.

Thanks Ian, i hear ya mate, and i agree.. lots of unknows here atm mate, spring length for starters is a wild card. 8 inches ordered atm, but nfi if thats gonna work. Trail and error sucks. Only reason ive gone for those rates is due to the HUGE rear wing... 180cm of downforce.. easy enough to order a set with lesser rates, just want to see how this hooks up.

Wow, serious bits under that car!
That rear trailing arm is a stout looking piece!
From the looks of it, your chassis has no rear subframe, correct?

Thats what it looks like Micheal, but ill let Skiddy chime in himself. I dont think ill be going that way, i think ill need to find a way to do this, but its the only pic ive got and really doesnt show anything at all. ive been under the car a bit and kinda trying to have a look how thats going to work, but still brainstorming at this stage.
this is the pic i ..borrowed. from the other Flossman GTR build from the guy in Brissy (who ive tried to contact, but has flown the coupe a long time ago)

If anyone has any other pics of this mod, then id be very gratefull if you shared

Ive talked to Cammo, the guy running the time attack gtr build, (top bloke btw) and hes got some custom mounts that will bring the subframe up a little, ill take a look at that aswell, which will not require any cutting (huge plus) but will leave me with a rather large rake.

So def my first preference will be to do it like in the pic i attached to this post, but would love to have some more details...

Skiddy.. holy shit that looks beautiful mate.. amazing.. Those drag link/arms

The radius arms in the photo on the silver car, are from the Red Bull racer, I have made up a hybrid arm. This way I could use different brakes and wheel/tyre combinations. There isn't a subframe needed at the rear, as the additional tubes and fab have replaced it, Also there is little room for it, when everything is pushed up into the car, I don't know how you are going to get round it without the metal surgery?

Def going to need metal surgery.. Def.. will be going the route of the picture I attached. When I drop the rear subframe I'll probably know more.

Are you refering to these subframe bushes that raise the subframe 8mm?
http://cmpautoengineering.com/produc...aising-bushes/

As for rake, I would expect they would lower rake without raising the ride height to compensate. In the end, rake is adjustable.

I haven't found confirmation that there really is a benefit to raising the rear subframe. I suppose it sounds logical just like roll center correcting front control arms. Although with an upper and lower control arm suspension, as opposed to McPherson strut, I'm skeptical of the benefit. Also, are there any adverse affects to driveline angles?
